Bill had another tough day today. After breaking an oil line in qualifying and spinning the car on the qualifying lap earlier he had to finish 4th or better in the C Main to advance to the B Main and so on to the A Main. He started in 7th. He passed the six cars in front of him to take the lead and led the race until one of the local Las Vegas champions passed him with 3 laps to go. He made a run on the leader on the last lap but finished by defending 2nd in a heated battle. After clearing the techincal inspections 3 times during this event they found him to be 3 lbs light on the scales and was disqualified (car and driver must be 1300 lbs) . He showed his competitiveness in this event but went home disappointed as he had earned the advancement to the B Main. IMS hopes you have enjoyed our racing program and website this year. Bill will go back into retirement from racing. Thanks to all of the staff and management of 600 Racing, Bill's loyal fans, and those that have helped and supported IMS racing this year. We sincerely appreciate the DB Bryant Band for their support and sponsorship of the nationals event.
