Bill started the 8 lap qualifying race in 13th and finished in 2nd qualifying for an 8th place starting position for the 20 lap feature. Immediately after the green flag, Bill took a shot from the rear that sent him back to 21st. He skillfully worked his way back into the top ten. Then on a restart he was hit in turn one spinning the car a full 360 degrees losing 6 positions. After avoiding several wrecks and more physical racing he moved back to an 8th place finish. That's from the back to the front to the back to the front to the back to 8th in 28 laps. Not bad for the first time racing in three years.
