Bill drew a 76 rather than the 200's as in the last two events to establish his starting position. This provided an outside pole position (2nd) for his qualifying heat race. He led the 1st half of the race until Tom Van Wingerden, of Metrolina Greenhouses, passed him. Bill finished 2nd, qualifying him for a 5th place starting position in the feature. The first 5 cars in the feature race were competitive and ran single file together until Masters ' Sossman and Hair "decided" to go to the front. Mr. Sossman popped Bill in the backend to let him know he was coming through, and Clay Hair followed. Bill was shuffled back to 7th. With only a few laps to go Bill passed two cars to finish 5th on double points night. Good run Bill!
We estimate he will be 5th in points after race 3.
